The knobs are firm and well marked. How well is connected to AC power? I informed myself about other multimlx, but unfortunately didn’t test any of them.

Based on your experience, would you buy this product again? The power switch is right next to the Phantom Power switch so if you turn it on and hear nothing odds are you hit the wrong power button.

This has always worked for me and I've never had a problem with it. I recently built a new computer with Windows 7 bit on it and previously Windows Vista I could not for the life of me get my Multimix 12 to work on the alesis firewire multimix 12 PC with Vista, and now that I've upgraded to Win7, whenever I plug in my Multimix to alesis firewire multimix 12 Firewire port, the system freezes instantly and I get a blue screen telling me there was a catastrophic driver failure with the mixer.
