I own an Acer Aspire 7750g-2636G75Mnkk Recently i updated to Windows 10 but i found out that my AMD Radeon 6650M is not supported, so i switched back to windows 7 with the Back up disc i made with the factory settings. So i tried to update everything, i used the AMD auto detect tool and it did install to the newest 15.7 driver. Went to the Acer content site, downloaded and installed the latest drivers for 1. 'Updates AMD dGPU Thames XT VBIOS-es', 3. BIOS-Booted the machine into BIOS, checked to make sure the graphics mode was 'switchable' (not 'integrated'), and indeed it was-Uninstalled and reinstalled the AMD drivers. I contacted Acer about this issue and they couldn't provide any help, so here I am. It's a pretty long post, and the main problem here I believe is the AMD driver. First, here are my specs: Windows 7 (64-bit) Home Premium (Service Pack 1) Intel Core i5-2450M – 2.5GHz with Turbo Boost up to 3.1GHz.

You can still try and install another OS, but device drivers would need to be obtained directly from hardware vendors.
BIOS & HDD/SSD/ODD firmware are OS independent, unless stated otherwise.
Windows applications can be usually be installed on another Windows version.
